Zombie Internship Contest

The contest introduced a novel way of breaking though the clutter of resumes to find student interns who aligned with the agency’s culture.

Capitalizing on our reputation for being a zombie-friendly place to work, we invited submissions for internships using flesh-eating, red-mouthed corpses as the creative theme.

We received remarkable entries from around the Island, including zombie websites, videos and twitter profiles. Four finalists competed in a public online vote with Pacific Design Academy student Danny Prew winning the title and the internship.

The contest also landed on the homepage of Advertising Age (the world’s largest ad publication), the front page of the Times Colonist business section, on Zombie blogs around the world, and was featured on Shaw Cable.
